The Southwest Education Council for Journalism and Mass Communication officers and executive committee seek applications for the next editor of the Southwestern Mass Communication Journal, the council’s peer-reviewed journal. SWECJMC is a regional affiliate of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. The journal is published twice each year by the Southwest Education Council for Journalism and Mass Communication. Its purpose is to provide an outlet for scholars and researchers within the Southwest region of the United States to report research findings and discussions on mass communication topics. The SWECJMC includes institutions from Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. The editor must be a faculty member from one of the SWECJMC member institutions. Associate Editor David Nolan will continue to handle layout and design of the journal. |

All e-mailed papers must be received on or before this date.
Faculty and graduate students are invited to submit papers on any topic related to journalism and mass communication. All scholarly methodologies are welcome. All papers will be refereed and top paper authors will be honored with special awards. The top six papers selected for presentation are eligible for publication in the Southwestern Mass Communication Journal without additional review.
